On the afternoon of September 19, 2018, the opening ceremony of 2018 freshmen of Kaiyuan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was held in the Oriental Hall of Liao Kaiyuan Law Building on Xuhui Campus. Xue Tianhong, the 2004 master of Civil and Commercial Law of the Law School and the founder of Guohillan Law Firm, was invited to attend the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Zhang Yangbo, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the school.

The conference kicked off in the magnificent national anthem. On behalf of the school, Dean Kong Xiangjun sent a message to the new students of the class of 2018 and introduced the international characteristics of Kaiyuan Law School. Deputy Secretary Zhang Yangbo elaborated on the high-quality legal personnel Training Program and its five sub-programs, and focused on the achievements of alumni who have graduated from the Law School and their return to the school.
