On September 5, 2019, the award ceremony of "Hillhouse Intellectual Property Scholarship" was held in the conference room of Hillhouse Law Firm. Director of Intellectual Property Research Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Shou Bu of Kaiyuan Law School, lawyers Xue Tianhong, Jiao Hanwei, Zhu Qin, Liu Yunzhou of Shanghai Guoling Law Firm, and award-winning students of Kaiyuan Law School attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by lawyer Jiao Hanwei.

Lawyer Xue Tianhong introduced the basic situation and goals of Guohillhouse to everyone. He hoped that more aspiring young legal people could join hands with Guohillhouse to realize their dreams. Zhu Qin introduced the purpose and implementation of the "Guoling Intellectual Property Scholarship". This year, Hillhouse was approved as a trademark and patent agency by the State Intellectual Property Office, which provides a higher platform for the comprehensive cooperation between Hillhouse and the Intellectual Property Research Center of Jiao Tong University.

On behalf of the Intellectual Property Research Center of Jiao Tong University, Professor Shou Bu expressed his sincere thanks to Hillhouse and spoke highly of Hillhouse's contribution and responsibility to the cause of legal education. He said that the establishment of the "Guohillhouse Intellectual Property Scholarship" plays an extremely important role in cultivating and encouraging outstanding students and exploring outstanding legal talents in intellectual property. Guo Hillhouse provides a good learning and practice platform for the majority of young lawyers, and is also one of the most suitable choices for young lawyers to enter the workplace. He looks forward to reaching a more tacit consensus with Hillhouse at a higher starting point, and forming a good and lasting coordination and co-construction mechanism. He then issued a certificate of honor for the donation to Guohillhouse.

After strict selection, a total of 9 outstanding graduate students were selected for this scholarship, including 5 doctoral students and 4 master students. Mr. Xue Tianhong presented scholarship certificates to the award-winning graduate students and accepted gifts from the Intellectual Property Research Center of Jiaotong University on behalf of Hillhouse.

"Hillhouse Intellectual Property Scholarship" is another special financial support provided by Hillhouse following the "Hillhouse Public Welfare Fund" for legal education of Jiao Tong University. This move builds a broader platform for university-enterprise research cooperation on intellectual property law practice between Hillhouse and Jiao Tong University, and is a beneficial attempt to fully combine legal theory and legal practice and explore and cultivate outstanding legal talents through multi-channel incentive mechanism.
